Court Marriage in Pakistan

A lawful Nikah completed with proper documentation

Pak Court Marriage provides confidential, lawyer-guided court marriage services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. We assist eligible couples with document verification, preparation of the Nikah Nama and affidavit of free will, arrangement of the Nikah Registrar and witnesses, solemnization of Nikah, Union Council registration and assistance obtaining the computerized Marriage Registration Certificate.

Although commonly called a “court marriage,” the marriage is not ordinarily performed by a judge inside a courtroom. It is a legally documented Nikah entered into with the free consent of both parties and completed through the applicable registration process.

End-to-End Assistance

Court marriage services we provide

Legal and document review

Eligibility, identity, age, marital status, nationality and jurisdiction are reviewed before the Nikah is arranged.

Nikah arrangements

Coordination with a licensed Nikah Registrar and legally competent witnesses.

Registration and MRC

Assistance with the competent Union Council record and computerized marriage certificate.

Preliminary Legal Review

Who can proceed with a court marriage?

Free consent and legal capacity

Both parties must possess legal capacity to marry and must enter the marriage by their own free will. Identity, age and consent should be verified before documents are prepared.

Applicable age requirement

Marriage-age rules are jurisdiction-specific and may change. Islamabad and Rawalpindi do not necessarily operate under identical legislation. We apply the law governing the relevant place and date rather than publishing one nationwide age statement. Current federal legislation can be verified through Pakistan Code.

Previous marriage

A divorced or widowed applicant should provide the competent authority’s divorce documentation or the former spouse’s death certificate. Any applicable waiting period and record requirements must also be considered.

Existing marriage or foreign nationality

Additional legal requirements may apply to a person already married and to marriages involving foreign nationals, religious conversion or documents issued abroad. These cases require individual review.

How the court marriage process works

Transparent Quotation

Court marriage fee and processing time

The total fee depends on the city, documents required, urgency, nationality and marital status of the parties, witness arrangements and whether post-Nikah registration or a Marriage Registration Certificate is included.

We recommend obtaining a written quotation after preliminary review. It should state whether document drafting, Nikah Registrar charges, witness arrangements, professional services and registration assistance are included.

The Nikah Nama and computerized Marriage Registration Certificate serve different documentary functions. Read the MRC guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Court marriage questions answered

Is court marriage legal in Pakistan?

“Court marriage” usually describes a consensual Nikah completed with legally sufficient documentation and registration. Legality depends on capacity, consent and compliance with the law applicable to the parties and jurisdiction.

Does court marriage take place inside a courtroom?

Ordinarily, no. A Nikah Registrar solemnizes the Nikah before witnesses; the expression “court marriage” commonly describes the lawyer-guided and documented process.

Can the Nikah be completed on the same day?

Same-day Nikah may be possible after eligibility and documents are verified. Registration and the computerized certificate take additional time.

Are witnesses required?

Witness requirements depend on the applicable personal law and procedure. For a Muslim Nikah handled through our service, witness identity and legal competence are checked in advance.

Is parental consent required?

This question depends on legal capacity, age and the law governing the case. We do not apply a single answer without first confirming the relevant jurisdiction and facts.

Can a foreign national marry a Pakistani citizen?

It may be possible, subject to nationality, immigration status, religion, marital status and acceptable foreign documentation.

What is the difference between the Nikah Nama and MRC?

The Nikah Nama records the marriage contract. The computerized Marriage Registration Certificate is issued on the basis of the registered marriage record and is commonly required for official use.

Is the service confidential?

Client information is handled confidentially, subject to legal, identity-verification and registration requirements. Registration itself creates an official record.
