What “Court Marriage” Means

A documented Nikah—not ordinarily a courtroom ceremony

In Pakistan, “court marriage” commonly describes a marriage entered into by consenting parties through Nikah and completed with legal documentation and registration. A judge does not ordinarily perform the Nikah merely because lawyers or court-area offices assist with the process.

Our Islamabad service is appointment-based and coordinated from F-8 Markaz. Documents should be reviewed before the couple attends so identity, age, marital status and foreign-document issues do not delay the scheduled Nikah.

Our role is to identify the legally relevant requirements, prepare the marriage file accurately, coordinate the Nikah and guide the parties through the registration record and MRC process.

Before We Schedule

Eligibility review for court marriage in Islamabad

Islamabad Capital Territory

Islamabad Capital Territory has its own current child-marriage legislation. Eligibility must be assessed under the law applicable in Islamabad on the proposed date, together with the parties’ personal law and circumstances. We verify identity, free consent, legal capacity, current or previous marital status, nationality and the appropriate registration jurisdiction before an appointment is finalized.

01 · CONSENT

Free and informed choice

Both parties must understand the marriage and enter it voluntarily, without coercion or misrepresentation.

02 · CAPACITY

Age and legal eligibility

Capacity is checked under the law applicable to the place, date and parties—not through a generic nationwide statement.

03 · STATUS

Existing or previous marriage

Divorce, widowhood, an existing marriage or a foreign record may trigger additional document and legal requirements.
